Planning for the midterm election by Eric Sidell says that:

"This is hardly the time to give up. This is an historic moment to refocus the progressive agenda away from the White House and hone it on the state houses and the Congress..."

This is no time to sulk or leave the country. Now is the time to start planning for 2006—that’s the reality. Important governor races, especially in Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey, are in play. Progressive candidates need help in the House and Senate. State Legislatures are another important target, because this is where future US Senate candidates are created. This is hardly the time to give up.
